So you’re in charge of booking the speaker for your upcoming event. No pressure there, right? Actually, there’s often a lot resting on this decision. You’ve got the whole company looking to you to come through.
I have made many friends in the HR industry or who were selected to find a great speaker for their upcoming conference, meeting, training, fundraiser, or party. They’ve always said the biggest fear is bringing in someone who is a “dud.” Having a speaker bore your audience or go off on some tangent that doesn’t relate at all to the company message or values can be a nightmare!
One of my friends, Kathy, who is the executive assistant to the President of a large insurance company, said, “I have to tell you Tim, we have a lot riding on this. We’ve done some things in the past that were disappointing and I haven’t lived it down yet.”
I’m happy to report that Kathy hired us and their event was a huge success!
“Tim, you were amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Not only did you make me look good, people are still buzzing about your talk. Everyone is high-fiving each other and you can tell they are applying what they learned! We will definitely will be bringing you back for more!” Kathy Haught, Seven Corners
I Bet You’re Looking For 3 Things!
1. An expert who knows how to speak. You want someone who can bring your message and values to life! We will provide a tailor-made keynote or training that focuses on your specific message.
2. A FUN experience! People learn best when they are laughing and having a great time! We will have everyone in the audience laughing, having fun, and enjoying themselves and those around them!
3. A message that produces a strong ROI. Many speakers will come in and share their amazing story, but it often doesn’t provide attendees with the practical takeaways needed to succeed in their lives. I just provided a half-day training for a healthcare organization in Indianapolis, and Ann, the SPHR who hired me said, “I’m always concerned that people get enough takeaways and you provided so many I couldn’t even write them all down!”
The best way to find out if we are a good fit for each other is through having a quick conversation. When you get the chance, give me a call and let’s talk about what you have going on. The rest will fall right into place!
Thanks for reading and I look forward to talking with you soon…
